Cantina Hospitality Group Introduces Pazzi Ristorante Italiano to Albuquerque

A new chapter of Italian dining is coming to the Northeast Heights this December. Cantina Hospitality Group, the team behind beloved New Mexico restaurants like Brekki Brekki, Poki Poki Cevicheria, Tamashi, Thai Boran, and Sushi King, has announced its latest concept: Pazzi Ristorante Italiano — set to open in the former home of Farina Alto.

A Modern Take on Italian Classics

Meaning “crazy” in Italian, Pazzi embodies the group’s philosophy: crazy good food, crazy good service, and a crazy good experience. Guests can expect an elevated yet approachable dining atmosphere where classic Italian dishes meet inventive, chef-driven creations.

The menu will highlight handmade pasta crafted fresh in-house, hand-cut steaks, and flown-in seafood, all prepared in an open exhibition kitchen so guests can watch the culinary artistry unfold right before their eyes.

Honoring a Local Legacy

Farina Alto was a cornerstone of the Northeast Heights dining scene for years. Cantina Hospitality Group saw the opportunity to reimagine the space — preserving its legacy while introducing a fresh, modern energy.

“We’re always looking for ways to elevate Albuquerque’s dining landscape,” said Lee Caperton, CEO of Cantina Hospitality Group. “Pazzi represents the next step in our mission to create unforgettable dining experiences across New Mexico. It’s elevated, authentic, and full of heart.”

Designed for the Community

The 5,000-square-foot restaurant will feature an inviting, upscale design with an emphasis on warmth and hospitality. The location’s layout — once home to one of the city’s favorite Italian spots — provides the perfect setting for Pazzi’s immersive, high-energy dining experience.

Set to open daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Pazzi will bring an exciting new destination for lunch, dinner, and gatherings with friends and family.

Coming December 2025

Pazzi Ristorante Italiano will open its doors December 2025, bringing Albuquerque an Italian experience that’s sophisticated, soulful, and — in true Cantina fashion — a little bit crazy.
