Let’s give a huge round of applause to Sean, the incredibly talented bartender from Brekki Brekki Rio Rancho, who took home a win at this week’s 505 Food & Bar Fights! 🏆

This high-energy, bracket-style culinary and mixology competition isn’t just about bragging rights — it’s about building community and raising money for a great cause. This round, $3,410 was raised for Guardians of the Children – Rio Grande Chapter, a nonprofit of motorcycle enthusiasts dedicated to protecting children impacted by abuse. From showing up in court to attending school events, these heroes help children reclaim their confidence, safety, and joy. 💛
The event was proudly hosted at local restaurant Sombremesa, creating a vibrant space for community, creativity, and cause-driven competition.

And now, let’s talk about those cocktails. Despite strict limits on what he could bring, Sean came in strong with two standout drinks:
🥇 Drink 1:
Rapid-infused spiced rum with fresh cherries (via whipped cream canister)
Muddled cherries, ½ oz of Amaro, fresh-squeezed lime juice, homemade pineapple punch syrup (pineapple, tangerine, grapefruit)
Shaken and strained over a whiskey sphere
Topped with whipped egg white gooseberry foam
Garnished with pineapple, cherry, and lime
🍹 Drink 2:
Spiced rum, gooseberry syrup, egg whites, fresh lemon juice
Shaken and strained over ice
Topped with Cabernet red wine
Garnished with lemon twist & compressed pineapple

Yes, he made all that under competition pressure — and with only two ingredients and one garnish allowed to be brought in. Talk about mastery.
We couldn’t be prouder to have Sean on our team. He brought heart, hustle, and some seriously creative mixology to the fight — all for an incredibly meaningful cause.
